Lucía Lantero

Una vida dedicada a la infancia en Haití

Lucía Lantero is a social entrepreneur and activist committed to child protection in Haiti. Originally from Santander, Spain, her life took a turn in 2010 when, following a volunteer trip, she discovered the harsh reality of child trafficking and abandonment in Haiti.

Rather than returning home, Lucía decided to stay and found Ayitimoun Yo (AYMY), an organization that offers a safe home, education and future opportunities to children in situations of extreme vulnerability. Thanks to her work, hundreds of minors have been able to escape exploitation and rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
