Nest Homes and Community Daycare
Objetive
Create five family nest homes and a community daycare to care for 75 young children during the day, freeing their older siblings (50-70 children) to go to school instead of staying home to care for them.

In Anse-à-Pitres there exists an invisible but devastating problem: children barely 5-6 years old who cannot go to school because they must care for their little siblings while their mothers work to survive.
This project offers an immediate and sustainable solution: five family nest homes that will care for 75 children ages 0-5 during the day, allowing 50-70 older siblings to reclaim their right to education. Later, we will build a professional community daycare that will centralize these services.
The reality we're transforming
The invisible problem
Imagine Marie, age 6, who cannot go to school because she must care for her baby brother while her mother sells fruit at the market to survive. Like Marie, dozens of small children lose their opportunity for education by caring for even smaller siblings.
This cycle perpetuates poverty: without education, these children will not have better opportunities when they grow up.

Our solution: family nest homes
Safe and culturally appropriate care
We have identified five trusted families in the community that we will adapt as "nest homes":
- Each nest home: Will care for 5-10 young children during the day
- Trained caregivers: Two per home, trained in first aid and child development
- Spiritual security: Blessed by local religious leaders to reassure families
- Guaranteed nutrition: Nutritious meals included

From nest homes to professional daycare
Once the nest homes are consolidated, we will build a professional community daycare with:
- Facilities specifically designed for children
- Extended hours (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
- Staff specialized in child development
- Medical and nutritional services
The impact we will achieve
Lives transformed immediately
- 75 young children: Safe care, nutrition and early stimulation
- 50-70 older siblings: Freed to attend school regularly
- 75-100 mothers: Peace of mind to work and generate family income
- Local jobs: For caregivers and daycare staff
Generational change
This project not only solves the immediate problem, but breaks the cycle of poverty: the children who recover their education today will be tomorrow's prepared adults.
Current status: we have already begun
- 10 mothers and babies participate weekly in our training sessions
- Houses identified and community enthusiastic about the project
- Training team ready: Spanish nurses and local specialists
We only need funding to equip the nest homes and begin operations.
Your support makes the difference
With your contribution:
- $50/month: Covers care for one child in a nest home for one month
- $100/month: Guarantees that an older sibling can go to school all year
- $200: Completely equips a nest home with everything needed
Each donation frees a child to have a future. Each sponsor builds the daycare that will transform Anse-à-Pitres forever.
